PTE- It is a computer-based test to assess the English language proficiency of non-native English speakers who wish to study abroad or seek immigration.

The PTE test structure consists of two formats, Academic and General Test. The PTE assesses listening, reading, speaking and writing in a single three-hour online test session.

PTE  Academic-

PTE Academic is the world’s Top Most test of English for study abroad and immigration. To complete the PTE Academic Test, a candidate must visit a secure Pearson test center. The candidate uses a computer and a headset to listen, read and answer the questions.

PTE Educational Test Result is available in five working days. The three-hour PTE Academic test assesses a real-life measure of test-takers’ language ability, and PTE Academic scores are accepted for admission to several institutions around the world, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and other countries. USA. In addition to being recognized by numerous universities around the world, ministries of education and employers also accept it as proof of English language proficiency.

PTE  Educational Eligibility Criteria

There are no specific eligibility criteria regarding educational qualification. However, candidates must be at least 16 years of age before appearing for the PTE 2018 academic test. Students between 16-17 years of age are required to produce a parental consent certificate to appear for the examination.

PTE  Academic Exam Pattern

The total duration of PTE-A test is three hours. The PTE-A test has three main parts; Speaking and writing (merged together), listening and reading.

There are twenty different question formats ranging from multiple choice to essay writing and data interpretation. Candidates may come across pie charts and graphs apart from regular question sets.

Part 1

PTE Academic Speaking and Writing,

   Duration- 77 to 93 minutes.

Part 2

PTE Academic Reading,

   Duration- 32 to 41 minutes.

Part 3

PTE Academic Listening,

   Duration- 45 to 57 minutes.

Score

The overall score is based on the student’s performance on all test items. For each item, the score you get contributes to the overall score. Total score range is 10-90 points.

PTE Fees

PTE exam fee in India is Rs. 10,900/-.

In case of test cancellation a week or more before the test day, 50% of the fee is refunded. For any cancellation within a week, no refund is given.

PTE General

Formerly known as London Tests of English General, is a comprehensive and consistent assessment program that covers all Common European Framework (CEF) levels. It gives test takers the opportunity to identify their language proficiency strengths and track improvement and success over time.

The PTE is a set of six tests at different levels (A1, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5). Test takers are free to choose the test level according to their own English language abilities. And the result will usually be available within 12 weeks after the test date.

PTE General Certificates do not expire. English language learners are encouraged to seek opportunities to practice the language and to regularly confirm their progress.

PTE Common Exam Format

PTE General Test contains 2 parts:

         1) Written paper:-

• Written papers test listening, reading comprehension and writing skills

       2) Speaking test

• The speaking test is evaluated by trained local examiners.
